Imah Effiong is the author of Rethinking How to Support Males of Color for Postsecondary Success, a Gates Foundation-funded white paper detailing strategies for how districts can prioritize equity for young Black/African-American and Hispanic/Latino men. 

She recently served as a postsecondary data coach for the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, where she supported two school districts by advising district leadership on how to use data analysis for action and planning. She also facilitated conversations on strategic planning around postsecondary metrics. Imah has also held education data-focused and college/career readiness positions at Chicago Public Schools, Huron Consulting Group, Education Pioneers, Illinois State Board of Education, Urban Prep Academies, and Urban Schools Improvement Network.

Imah holds an MBA from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business, an MPP in education policy from the University of Michigan, and a BA from the University of Chicago.
